Border Security

Mayor Mizani fully supports President Trump and Governor Abbott’s efforts at our southern border: finish the wall, continue to not permit “catch-and-release”, enforce the laws on the books including mandatory detention and expedited removal, address illegitimate asylum seekers who have contributed to an 8-year backlog within the U.S. immigration courts, and ensure our U.S. Border Patrol agents have the tools, resources, and manpower to protect us at home.

Having visited our southern border and having received briefings from both the United States Border Patrol and the National Border Patrol Council, Mayor Mizani knows that every city in Texas and every city in America has now become a border city.

As our next State Representative, Mayor Mizani will fight to end policies that incentivize illegal immigration, will continue to support President Trump in his deportation operations, and will continue to fully fund Operation Lone Star. We must finish the wall, and give law enforcement every tool they need to stop illegal crossings, drug cartels, and human trafficking.

Property Taxes

Texans are being taxed out of their homes, and as our next State Representative, Mayor Mizani has a proven record of providing taxpayers real tax relief. As Mayor, he has been widely recognized as a “Taxpayer Champion” where he has overseen the largest consecutive tax relief measures in Keller history: for the last 8 years, Keller has slashed the tax rate to or below the effective rate and maxed out the Homestead Exemption at the state-allowed 20%. After years of scandal at the Tarrant Appraisal District, Mayor Mizani spearheaded changes in leadership which led to lasting pro-taxpayer reforms.

As our next State Representative, Mayor Mizani will take his budgetary experience down to Austin and ensure working families and taxpayers are put first, where he will support an all-of-the-above approach: increase the homestead expansion, compress local rates to get as close to zero as possible, and do everything he can to ensure Texans, not the government, can own their homes.

School Choice and Public School Funding

Texas can be the model across the nation for a strong education, and we must not stop until we get there. Mayor Mizani has been an outspoken leader in ensuring our public schools are well-funded while also advocating that families alone decide how their children are best educated.

Mayor Mizani strongly supports Governor Abbott and his efforts to ensure all parents and students have real choice so that students are not tied down to failing schools or artificial geographical lines. As our next State Representative, Mayor Mizani will support efforts that allow families to use their tax dollars to choose the best option for their kids — whether public, private, charter, homeschool, or hybrid. As he already has, in the Texas House, Mayor Mizani will fight to expand parental rights and keep woke ideology out of the classroom.

Texas must also fully fund our public schools and provide our educators with continued pay increases. He supports increased transparency in school budgets and ensuring that taxpayer dollars actually make it into the classroom — not just administrative overhead.

For Mayor Mizani, it’s simple: every child in Texas deserves a quality education, and every parent must have a say.

Crime & Public Safety

As Mayor, Keller has remained one of the safest cities in Texas by supporting public safety, backing the blue, and ensuring police and fire departments have the tools and training necessary to keep Keller safe. In the Texas House, Mayor Mizani will bring his experience and stand up to soft-on-crime policies and support tougher penalties for repeat offenders, drug dealers, human traffickers, and violent criminals. Mayor Mizani believes prosecutors who refuse to enforce the law should be removed. Texans deserve safe neighborhoods, not excuses from activist District Attorneys.

Government Spending

Texas is blessed with immense resources and revenues, and Mayor Mizani believes that those surpluses should be returned to the taxpayers, not spent on needlessly growing government on pet projects. Mayor Mizani is a battle tested conservative who has the budgetary experience and fiscal discipline necessary to balance our state budget and cut waste. In the Texas House, he’ll bring his experience and fight for strict spending limits while eliminating a bloated bureaucracy.

Economic Development

Mayor Mizani knows that government doesn’t create jobs, people do. The Texas miracle is not created with government handouts, but instead by cutting red tape and empowering business owners. In Keller, Mayor Mizani led efforts to attract private investment and create jobs without raising taxes, overseeing the largest economic growth in the city’s history. In the Texas House, he will fight for us and will support policies that protect Texas’s low-regulation, pro-growth model. We need to keep Texas the best place in America to start a business, raise a family, and achieve the American dream.

Infrastructure

As Texas and North Texas grow, we must prioritize and invest wisely in our roads, water systems, and public works projects so that we can keep Texas moving. Mayor Mizani has a proven record in strategic infrastructure improvements, not wasteful spending. As Mayor, he cleared a six-year backlog to street and sidewalk repairs that existed when he assumed office, and as our next State Representative, he will support legislation that removes regulatory roadblocks, ensuring every tax dollar goes toward real improvements, not bureaucratic bloat. Texans deserve infrastructure that supports our growing needs and leadership that delivers.

Second Amendment

Mayor Mizani believes the right to bear arms was settled in 1791 with the adoption of the 2nd amendment to the U.S. constitution. Simply put: our right to bear arms shall not be infringed.

Protecting the Unborn

Texas has made great strides to protect life. In the Texas House, Mayor Mizani will continue to support efforts that protect the unborn while ensuring there is adequate funding for adoption services. In Keller, Mayor Mizani has signed proclamations recognizing the sanctity of life and as our next State Representative, he believes we can and must continue to defend the culture of life in Texas.
